Position: Admissions Coordinator (Annamalai University Programs)
We are seeking an organized, service-oriented Admissions Coordinator to support prospective students through the end-to-end admissions process for Annamalai University programs. This role focuses on application guidance, documentation checks, candidate communication, and coordination with internal stakeholders to ensure accurate, timely processing.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a primary point of contact for prospective applicants, answering queries regarding eligibility, required documents, timelines, and submission steps.
- Guide candidates through the admissions workflow, including application form completion and document submission standards.
- Review applications for completeness and accuracy; verify supporting documents (identity, academic records, category certificates, photographs, signatures, etc.) as applicable.
- Coordinate with academic departments and administration for application screening, shortlisting, and status updates.
- Maintain accurate applicant records in spreadsheets/CRM systems; ensure data integrity and confidentiality.
- Support publication of admissions updates (dates, instructions, notices) and respond to inbound email/phone inquiries.
- Assist with scheduling and coordination for entrance tests/interviews/document verification when required.
- Prepare routine reports on application volumes, processing status, and common applicant issues.
- Ensure adherence to institutional policies and applicable regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline (Master’s degree preferred).
- 1–3 years of experience in admissions, education administration, customer support, or operations (freshers with strong communication skills may be considered).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to explain steps clearly and professionally.
- High attention to detail for document review and data entry.
- Proficiency with MS Office/Google Workspace (Excel/Sheets, Word/Docs, email).
- Comfortable handling high volumes of inquiries and meeting deadlines during peak admission cycles.
- Professional discretion and ability to manage confidential student information.
- Preferred: Familiarity with Indian higher education admissions processes and document verification practices.
