Position: Patwari (Land Records Officer)

Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and service-driven Patwari to support land records administration, field verification, and citizen-facing revenue services. This role involves maintaining accurate records, coordinating with local authorities, and ensuring timely processing of land and revenue-related requests.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and update land records, mutation entries, and related revenue registers in accordance with applicable rules and procedures.
  • Conduct field visits for verification of land ownership, boundaries, crops, and occupancy as required.
  • Support preparation and maintenance of village maps, khasra/girdawari entries, and other cadastral documentation.
  • Assist in processing applications related to land mutation, partition, demarcation, and issuance of revenue documents.
  • Coordinate with revenue officials and local administration for inspections, reporting, and compliance activities.
  • Respond to citizen queries and provide guidance on documentation and procedural requirements.
  • Prepare periodic reports, summaries, and data submissions for departmental review.
  • Ensure record accuracy, confidentiality, and proper archival of physical and digital documents.
  • Support audit or inquiry processes by producing required records and factual field inputs.

Requirements

  • Graduate-level education (or equivalent) as per applicable recruitment norms for Patwari roles.
  • Working knowledge of land records processes, revenue administration, and local governance systems is preferred.
  • Basic computer proficiency and ability to work with digital record systems and office productivity tools.
  • Strong attention to detail, record-keeping discipline, and ability to manage documentation accurately.
  • Ability to conduct fieldwork, including travel within assigned jurisdiction.
  • Good communication skills to interact with citizens, officials, and stakeholders professionally.
