This role is designed for motivated law graduates who want to work closely with judicial officers and contribute to high-quality legal research, drafting, and case preparation. The Research Associate supports the court by providing structured research inputs, case-law analysis, and assistance in preparing legal notes and summaries.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct in-depth legal research on statutes, rules, regulations, and judicial precedents.
  • Prepare case briefs, issue notes, and concise summaries of pleadings, evidence, and arguments.
  • Assist in drafting and reviewing legal memoranda, research notes, and reference materials.
  • Track and compile relevant judgments, citations, and comparative legal materials for matters under consideration.
  • Support preparation for hearings by organizing case files and creating structured reference bundles.
  • Maintain confidentiality and comply with court protocols, timelines, and documentation standards.
  • Perform other research and legal support tasks assigned by the competent authority.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor Degree in Law (LLB) from any recognized university in India. Final year candidates may also be eligible as per the official notification.
  • Age Limit (as on 01 July 2024): Minimum 21 years; Maximum 26 years. Age relaxation as per applicable rules.
  • Strong legal research and analytical skills, including the ability to interpret statutes and judgments.
  • Excellent written communication skills for preparing clear and well-structured legal notes.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work under deadlines in a high-responsibility environment.
  • Working knowledge of legal databases and standard office tools is preferred.
