Personnel Officer (Group B)

This position supports core HR and personnel administration functions, ensuring policy compliance, effective workforce management, and accurate employee lifecycle operations across the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end personnel administration processes including onboarding, transfers, promotions, and separations.
  • Support recruitment and selection activities by coordinating documentation, records, and stakeholder communication.
  • Maintain and update employee records, service books, and HR databases with accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Assist in implementing HR policies, service rules, and internal guidelines in line with applicable regulations.
  • Coordinate performance management processes, confirmations, and periodic HR reporting.
  • Handle employee queries and grievances by ensuring timely routing, documentation, and resolution tracking.
  • Support disciplinary and compliance-related processes, including drafting notices, maintaining case files, and coordinating hearings as required.
  • Collaborate with payroll and finance teams to ensure accurate employee data for salary processing, deductions, and statutory requirements.
  • Prepare official correspondence, notes, and HR-related submissions for internal approvals.
  • Assist with audits and inspections by producing records, reports, and compliance documentation.

Requirements

  • Relevant educational qualification as per the official recruitment rules/notification for Personnel Officer (Group ‘B’).
  • Knowledge of HR administration, service rules, and personnel procedures (public sector experience is a plus).
  • Strong documentation skills and ability to draft professional correspondence.
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications (MS Office/office productivity tools) and comfort working with HR systems.
  • High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Professional integrity with the ability to handle sensitive information confidentially.
