University Admissions Coordinator (Guru Ghasidas University Admission Form)

We are seeking a detail-oriented University Admissions Coordinator to support the end-to-end admissions process with a primary focus on application form guidance, document verification, applicant communication, and coordination with internal departments. This role is ideal for someone who is process-driven, comfortable working with online application portals, and committed to delivering a high-quality applicant experience.

Responsibilities

  • Guide prospective students through the admission application process, including form completion, eligibility clarification, and submission steps.
  • Review submitted applications for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with published admission guidelines.
  • Coordinate document collection and verification, including identity, academic records, category certificates (if applicable), and other required attachments.
  • Maintain accurate applicant records in the admissions system/CRM and ensure timely updates of application status.
  • Respond to applicant queries via email, phone, and helpdesk channels with clear and professional communication.
  • Support admission timelines by tracking deadlines, sending reminders, and escalating issues that could delay processing.
  • Collaborate with academic departments, IT/portal support, finance, and administration to resolve application/payment/portal issues.
  • Assist in preparing admission-related communications such as instructions, FAQs, notices, and step-by-step guidance for applicants.
  • Generate periodic reports on application volumes, pending cases, common errors, and resolution turnaround times.
  • Ensure adherence to data privacy and confidentiality standards while handling student information.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in any discipline (Education/Administration/Management preferred).
  • 1–3 years of experience in admissions, student services, education administration, customer support, or a similar coordination role.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to validate documents and data accurately.
  • Comfort working with online portals/forms, spreadsheets, and basic reporting tools (e.g., MS Excel/Google Sheets).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to explain processes clearly to applicants.
  • Ability to manage multiple applications/cases simultaneously and meet strict deadlines.
  • Professional judgment and discretion when handling sensitive personal and academic information.
  • Preferred: Experience supporting university/college admission cycles, online application workflows, or helpdesk operations.
