Position: Primary Teacher (PRT)

We are seeking a dedicated and child-centered Primary Teacher (PRT) to deliver high-quality instruction for primary grades, build strong foundational skills, and support students’ academic, social, and emotional development. This role is ideal for an educator who believes in inclusive classrooms, structured lesson planning, and continuous improvement through assessment and feedback.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with curriculum standards and age-appropriate learning outcomes.
  • Develop foundational literacy and numeracy skills using a variety of instructional strategies and learning aids.
  • Create a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment that encourages curiosity and positive behavior.
  • Assess student learning through classwork, assignments, projects, and periodic evaluations; maintain accurate records.
  • Provide differentiated instruction to meet diverse learning needs, including support for students who require additional attention.
  • Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student progress, behavior, and learning goals.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and school leadership on academic planning, school events, and student support initiatives.
  • Participate in professional development, trainings, and school meetings to enhance teaching practice.
  • Maintain classroom discipline and implement positive behavior management strategies.
  • Support co-curricular and enrichment activities as required by the school calendar.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education or a relevant discipline (as per applicable school/board norms).
  • Teacher training qualification (e.g., D.El.Ed./B.Ed. or equivalent as required for primary teaching roles).
  • Prior experience teaching primary grades is preferred; strong freshers with teaching practice may be considered.
  • Strong knowledge of child development, foundational pedagogy, and classroom management.
  • Ability to design lesson plans, worksheets, and assessments aligned with learning objectives.
  • Excellent communication skills in English and/or the local language as required by the school.
  • Comfort with basic educational technology (smart classroom tools, learning apps, or digital worksheets).
  • High standards of integrity, professionalism, and student safeguarding.
