Position Summary
As a Non-Executive, you will support plant operations, maintenance, utilities, instrumentation, electrical systems, production processes, laboratory/quality functions, materials management, and other site services depending on your trade/discipline. The role requires adherence to SOPs, safety standards, and shift-based operations where applicable.
Key Responsibilities
- Support day-to-day plant operations and/or maintenance activities as per assigned department (Production, Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Utilities, Quality, Stores, etc.).
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs), safety protocols, and statutory compliance requirements.
- Assist in preventive and breakdown maintenance, equipment inspection, and troubleshooting under supervision.
- Maintain logs, checklists, and documentation for operational parameters, maintenance work orders, and shift handovers.
- Participate in safety drills, toolbox talks, and hazard reporting; ensure proper use of PPE.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure plant reliability, uptime, and quality targets.
- Support audits, calibrations, housekeeping (5S), and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Operate or assist with operation of plant equipment and systems as per training and authorization.
Requirements
- Relevant educational qualification (e.g., ITI/Diploma/Degree) aligned to the specific non-executive discipline/trade.
- Basic understanding of industrial safety practices and willingness to work in a process/manufacturing environment.
- Ability to work in shifts (where required) and follow structured procedures and reporting.
- Working knowledge of maintenance tools, plant operations, or laboratory/quality practices (role-dependent).
- Good communication and teamwork skills; ability to coordinate with supervisors and peers.
- Comfort with documentation and basic computer usage for logs/records (preferred).
