Position: UP Health Worker (Male)

We are seeking dedicated and service-oriented candidates for the role of Health Worker (Male) to support community health initiatives, preventive healthcare delivery, and field-based public health programs. This position focuses on grassroots implementation of health services, awareness campaigns, and coordination with primary healthcare teams to improve health outcomes across assigned areas.

Responsibilities

  • Support implementation of public health and primary healthcare programs in assigned communities.
  • Conduct household and community visits to support health education and promote preventive practices.
  • Assist with community mobilization for immunization drives, screening camps, and awareness initiatives.
  • Maintain basic records, registers, and field reports as per program requirements.
  • Coordinate with supervisors, ASHAs/ANMs, and local health facilities for referrals and follow-ups.
  • Identify and report public health concerns, outbreaks, or high-risk cases to the appropriate authority.
  • Promote sanitation, safe drinking water, nutrition awareness, and healthy behavior change in the community.
  • Support data collection activities and participate in periodic surveys, audits, and reviews.
  • Ensure compliance with departmental guidelines, confidentiality, and ethical conduct.

Requirements

  • Eligibility as per applicable UP health department/health worker recruitment or training norms (education, age, and other criteria may apply).
  • Ability to work in field settings, including extensive travel within assigned areas.
  • Basic proficiency in record-keeping and reporting; comfort with forms and registers.
  • Strong communication skills in local language(s); ability to counsel and guide community members.
  • Team-oriented mindset with willingness to coordinate with multiple stakeholders.
  • Integrity, empathy, and commitment to public service.
  • Preferred: Prior exposure to community health, outreach work, or government/public health programs.
