Position: Medical Officer (Allopathy)

Responsibilities

  • Provide outpatient and inpatient medical care, including clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up.
  • Prescribe medications and order/interpret diagnostic tests in accordance with clinical protocols and applicable regulations.
  • Respond to emergencies and provide stabilization and referral coordination when required.
  • Maintain accurate patient records, clinical notes, and required medico-legal documentation.
  • Participate in public health programs, preventive care initiatives, and health awareness activities.
  • Collaborate with nursing staff, paramedical teams, and administrative personnel to ensure effective patient care delivery.
  • Support quality improvement activities, infection control practices, and clinical audits as assigned.
  • Ensure compliance with departmental policies, ethical standards, and patient confidentiality requirements.

Requirements

  • MBBS degree from a recognized institution.
  • Valid registration with the relevant Medical Council (as applicable).
  • Sound knowledge of clinical medicine, patient safety practices, and standard treatment guidelines.
  • Strong communication skills for patient counseling and coordination with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Ability to work in high-volume clinical settings and manage time effectively.
  • Willingness to serve in assigned locations as per organizational requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Relevant post-qualification clinical experience in hospital/primary care settings.
  • Exposure to government health programs, community medicine, or public health initiatives.
  • Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) and structured clinical documentation.
