Position: Staff Nurse (Recruitment 2024)

This opportunity is for qualified nursing professionals to join BFUHS/affiliated institutions and contribute to high-quality patient care, clinical support, and nursing excellence across hospital and healthcare settings. The Staff Nurse will work closely with physicians, nursing supervisors, and allied health teams to ensure safe, ethical, and evidence-based nursing care.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive bedside nursing care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed and monitor patient responses.
- Maintain accurate nursing documentation, patient charts, and shift handover notes.
- Assist in clinical procedures and coordinate with doctors and multidisciplinary teams.
- Monitor vital signs, recognize clinical deterioration, and escalate care appropriately.
- Ensure infection prevention and control practices, including aseptic techniques and isolation protocols when required.
- Support patient education and counseling for treatment plans, discharge instructions, and follow-up care.
- Participate in ward/unit management activities such as stock checks, equipment readiness, and quality audits.
- Adhere to hospital policies, nursing standards, ethical guidelines, and patient safety protocols.
Requirements
- Diploma (GNM) or B.Sc. Nursing from a recognized institution.
- Valid registration with the State Nursing Council/Indian Nursing Council (as applicable).
- Experience in hospital/clinical nursing is preferred; fresh eligible candidates may also be considered as per recruitment rules.
- Working knowledge of clinical nursing procedures, medication administration, and patient monitoring.
- Ability to work in rotational shifts, including nights/weekends/holidays, as required.
- Strong communication skills, empathy, and teamwork orientation.
- Basic computer skills for documentation and hospital information systems are an advantage.
