Responsibilities

• Conduct field inspections and assessments related to assigned industrial units and sector-specific activities (e.g., salt/handloom as applicable).

• Prepare inspection notes, reports, and documentation as per departmental formats and timelines.
• Coordinate with stakeholders including local units, departmental offices, and other government bodies for compliance and operational follow-ups.
• Assist in awareness, outreach, and extension activities to promote best practices and adherence to standards.
• Maintain accurate records and contribute to periodic reviews, audits, or verification exercises as assigned.
• Perform any other duties assigned by supervising authorities in line with departmental requirements.

Requirements

• Eligibility as per RSMSSB notification for the respective post (Industry Extension Officer / Industries Inspector / Salt or Handloom Inspector as applicable).
• Ability to work in field conditions and travel within assigned jurisdiction.
• Basic proficiency in documentation, reporting, and adherence to government procedures.
• Strong attention to detail for inspection, verification, and compliance-related tasks.
• Effective communication skills for coordination with units and departmental stakeholders.
