Position: Admissions Coordinator (Kuvempu University Programs)
We are seeking a detail-oriented Admissions Coordinator to manage end-to-end application support for prospective students applying to Kuvempu University programs. This role focuses on guiding applicants through form submission, document verification, eligibility checks, and status updates while ensuring compliance with university timelines and service standards.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for prospective students regarding admissions, application forms, and required documentation.
- Guide applicants through the online application process, including account creation, form completion, fee submission, and troubleshooting common issues.
- Verify application completeness (identity, academic records, category certificates where applicable) and coordinate follow-ups for missing or incorrect documents.
- Maintain accurate applicant records in internal systems/CRMs and ensure data integrity and confidentiality.
- Coordinate with university departments and external partners to confirm eligibility criteria, program requirements, and admission timelines.
- Track application status and proactively communicate updates via email, phone, and messaging channels.
- Prepare daily/weekly reports on application volumes, pending cases, turnaround times, and recurring applicant issues.
- Support peak-season operations, including call/email queue management and FAQ knowledge base updates.
- Ensure adherence to policies related to privacy, record retention, and student communication standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline (Master’s preferred for senior profiles).
- 1–3 years of experience in admissions, education administration, student services, or customer support (higher education preferred).
- Strong knowledge of online application workflows, document verification, and basic eligibility screening.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; Kannada/Hindi proficiency is a plus.
- High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple applications simultaneously with minimal errors.
- Comfortable using spreadsheets, email tools, and CRM/ticketing systems (e.g., Excel/Google Sheets, Zendesk/Freshdesk or similar).
- Ability to handle sensitive personal data with discretion and follow confidentiality guidelines.
- Problem-solving mindset with patience and professionalism when assisting applicants.
