Chanakya National Law University (CNLU) is seeking a detail-oriented and service-driven Admissions Coordinator to support end-to-end admission operations for university programs. This role is responsible for coordinating application workflows, maintaining accurate applicant records, supporting communication with prospective students, and ensuring timely execution of admission-related schedules and documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the admissions lifecycle including application receipt, scrutiny, shortlisting, and offer/communication workflows.
  • Maintain and update applicant databases and document repositories with high accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Support the publication and communication of key dates, notices, and admissions updates across channels.
  • Respond to applicant queries via email, phone, and in-person help desk; provide clear guidance on eligibility, documentation, and timelines.
  • Assist in organizing entrance/admission-related activities such as document verification, counseling sessions, and orientation logistics.
  • Prepare reports, dashboards, and summaries for admissions leadership (applications received, status tracking, category-wise counts, etc.).
  • Coordinate with academic departments, finance, IT, and administration to ensure smooth processing of fees, enrollment, and student onboarding.
  • Ensure compliance with university policies and applicable regulatory guidelines for admissions and record-keeping.
  • Support document verification and audit readiness by maintaining standardized checklists and file structures.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of admissions processes, templates, and applicant communications.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in any discipline; Master’s degree is a plus.
  • 2+ years of experience in admissions, academic administration, student services, or a comparable operations role (experience in higher education preferred).
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office/Google Workspace (Excel/Sheets, Word/Docs, email etiquette).
  • Comfort working with online forms/portals and student information systems; ability to learn new tools quickly.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; Hindi proficiency preferred for applicant support.
  • High attention to detail, strong documentation discipline, and ability to manage deadlines during peak cycles.
  • Professional handling of confidential information and adherence to data privacy practices.
  • Strong coordination skills and a problem-solving mindset; ability to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders.
