Role Overview

As an Assistant Environmental Scientist (AES), you will support environmental assessment, monitoring, analysis, and reporting activities aligned with government standards and regulatory frameworks. The role demands strong scientific fundamentals, analytical skills, and the ability to interpret environmental data to support policy and compliance objectives.


Responsibilities

  • Support environmental monitoring and assessment initiatives, including data collection and analysis.
  • Assist in preparing technical reports, summaries, and documentation related to environmental studies.
  • Contribute to evaluation of environmental parameters and interpretation of laboratory/field results.
  • Support compliance-oriented tasks aligned with applicable environmental rules, standards, and procedures.

Requirements

Educational Qualification

Candidates must have a Bachelor’s Degree in any of the following from a recognized university in India:

  • Chemistry
  • Life Science
  • Environmental Science
  • Physics

Age Limit (as on 01 August 2025)

  • Minimum Age: 21 years
  • Maximum Age (Male): 37 years
  • Maximum Age (Female UR, BC, EBC Male & Female): 40 years
  • Maximum Age (SC/ST Male & Female): 42 years
  • Age relaxation will be applicable as per BPSC AES recruitment rules.
