Position: DRDO Exam Cutoff Marks Analyst

We are seeking a detail-oriented analyst to research, compile, validate, and publish exam cutoff marks and related recruitment insights for DRDO and similar government/defence recruitment examinations. This role involves working with official notices, answer keys, results, previous-year data, and category-wise cutoffs to create accurate, timely, and user-friendly content for candidates.

Responsibilities

  • Track DRDO recruitment cycles and related examinations (e.g., CEPTAM, Scientist, Technician, Admin/STA) and monitor official updates including notifications, answer keys, results, and cutoffs.
  • Compile cutoff marks (category-wise, post-wise, trade/discipline-wise, region-wise where applicable) from official sources and prepare structured datasets.
  • Validate data accuracy through cross-verification with official PDFs, corrigenda, and result documents; maintain an audit trail of sources.
  • Create clear, candidate-focused write-ups explaining cutoff trends, normalization (if applicable), selection stages, and expected cutoff ranges based on historical patterns.
  • Develop tables, summaries, and FAQs for quick comprehension; ensure consistency in formatting and terminology.
  • Coordinate with editorial/SEO teams to publish content quickly while meeting quality standards.
  • Maintain a repository of previous-year cutoff data and update it as new cycles conclude.
  • Respond to internal queries regarding discrepancies, updates, and candidate feedback; issue corrections when needed.
  • Ensure compliance with content policies, including proper attribution and avoiding unverified claims.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in any discipline (preferred: Statistics, Mathematics, Data Analytics, Journalism, or related fields).
  • 1+ years of experience in exam/recruitment content research, education publishing, data compilation, or similar roles (freshers with strong skills may be considered).
  • Strong ability to read and interpret official recruitment documents (PDF notices, result sheets, answer keys, and instructions).
  • High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy; ability to spot inconsistencies in datasets.
  • Proficiency with spreadsheets (Excel/Google Sheets) including sorting, filtering, pivot tables, and basic data cleaning.
  • Excellent written communication skills in English; Hindi reading ability is a plus.
  • Comfortable working under tight deadlines during result/cutoff release windows.
  • Basic understanding of selection processes, cutoffs, merit lists, and reservation categories in Indian recruitment exams.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience covering defence/government recruitment (DRDO, SSC, Railways, UPSC, state PSCs).
  • Familiarity with on-page SEO fundamentals (titles, headings, internal linking, search intent) without compromising accuracy.
  • Ability to visualize trends (simple charts/graphs) for year-over-year cutoff comparisons.
  • Experience using CMS platforms (WordPress or similar).

Benefits

  • Competitive salary with performance-based increments.
  • Flexible work options (remote/hybrid depending on location and team needs).
  • Opportunity to build expertise in high-impact recruitment information used by large candidate audiences.
  • Learning support for data tools and editorial best practices.
  • Paid leave and standard benefits as per company policy.
