Position: Child Development Project Officer (CDPO)

Overview: We are seeking a dedicated Child Development Project Officer (CDPO) to support and strengthen community-based child development and women welfare initiatives. The CDPO will coordinate program implementation, ensure service quality, monitor field delivery, and collaborate with local stakeholders to improve outcomes for children and families.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, and supervise child development and nutrition-related programs at the project/block level.
  • Oversee implementation of early childhood care, health, nutrition, and women welfare interventions through field teams and partner centers.
  • Conduct regular field visits to monitor service delivery, verify records, and ensure compliance with program guidelines and standards.
  • Maintain and review program data, reports, and documentation; prepare periodic progress updates for senior leadership.
  • Coordinate with local administration, health departments, education stakeholders, and community leaders to ensure integrated service delivery.
  • Support capacity building of frontline workers through training, mentoring, and performance feedback.
  • Identify gaps and risks in implementation and recommend corrective actions to improve program effectiveness.
  • Facilitate community outreach activities, awareness campaigns, and grievance redressal mechanisms.
  • Ensure ethical conduct, confidentiality, and child safeguarding in all program activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (required); Master’s degree in Social Work, Public Administration, Sociology, Nutrition, Child Development, or a related field (preferred).
  • Understanding of child development, public welfare programs, and field-level implementation frameworks.
  • Strong administrative skills with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders and priorities.
  • Experience in monitoring, reporting, and data-driven decision-making (preferred).
  • Excellent communication skills in Hindi; working knowledge of English is an advantage.
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications (MS Office/Google Workspace) and digital reporting tools.
  • Willingness to travel frequently for field monitoring and community engagement.
  • High integrity, accountability, and commitment to public service.
