Overview
We are seeking a Programme Officer to support planning, implementation, and monitoring of public health initiatives focused on HIV/AIDS prevention, care, and treatment. This role works closely with government counterparts, implementing partners, and internal teams to ensure program objectives are delivered with quality, compliance, and measurable impact.

Responsibilities

  • Support end-to-end program management, including planning, implementation, coordination, and reporting across assigned thematic areas (e.g., procurement & logistics, blood donation programs, pediatric care, monitoring & evaluation, capacity building, ART, ICTC, counselling, supply chain, HIV-TB integration).
  • Coordinate with state/regional teams and stakeholders to ensure timely execution of activities and alignment with national guidelines.
  • Track program deliverables, milestones, and budgets; flag risks and propose mitigation actions.
  • Contribute to monitoring and evaluation activities, including data review, dashboard updates, field monitoring, and preparation of periodic performance reports.
  • Support development of technical documents such as concept notes, workplans, SOPs, training materials, and presentations.
  • Assist in partner management, including reviewing implementation progress, ensuring compliance, and supporting corrective actions.
  • Participate in meetings, workshops, and review forums; document minutes and follow-up actions.
  • Maintain accurate program documentation and ensure readiness for audits/reviews.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in a relevant discipline such as Commerce, Management, Science, Engineering, or Pharmacy (or closely related fields).
  • Experience in public health programs, government/large-scale initiatives, supply chain/logistics, M&E, or health systems strengthening is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of program coordination and stakeholder management in multi-partner environments.
  • Ability to analyze data, prepare reports, and communicate findings clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; comfortable preparing formal documentation and presentations.
  • Proficiency in standard office tools (spreadsheets, documents, slides) and basic data handling.
  • Willingness to travel as required for field coordination and review meetings.
  • High integrity, attention to detail, and ability to work with confidentiality where required.
