Role Overview
As an Assistant Engineer, you will support planning, execution, monitoring, and maintenance of engineering works in your respective discipline/branch. The role involves technical oversight, adherence to applicable standards, and coordination with stakeholders to deliver public works efficiently and safely.
Responsibilities
- Assist in planning, designing, and executing engineering projects as per departmental requirements.
- Prepare and review technical documents, estimates, drawings, and specifications.
- Monitor site activities to ensure quality, safety, and compliance with relevant codes and standards.
- Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and internal teams for timely project delivery.
- Support inspection, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of engineering assets.
- Maintain records, measurements, reports, and documentation required for audits and reviews.
- Assist senior engineers in troubleshooting technical issues and implementing corrective actions.
Requirements
- Education: BE / B.Tech Engineering Degree in a related stream/branch from a recognized university/college.
- Age Limit (as on 01 July 2024): Minimum 21 years; Maximum 40 years (age relaxation as per UPPSC rules).
- Strong fundamentals in core engineering concepts relevant to the applied discipline.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and project documentation.
- Good communication and coordination skills for cross-functional and site collaboration.
- Willingness to work in field/site environments as per project needs.
