Position: Admissions Counselor (Nirma University Admissions)
We are seeking an Admissions Counselor to support prospective students through the end-to-end admissions journey for Nirma University programs. This role focuses on student guidance, application support, query resolution, and coordination with internal stakeholders to ensure a smooth, accurate, and timely admissions experience.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a primary point of contact for prospective students and parents via phone, email, chat, and in-person interactions.
- Provide accurate information on programs, eligibility, selection process, important dates, required documents, and fee-related queries.
- Guide applicants through the application process, including form completion, document submission, corrections, and status tracking.
- Conduct counseling sessions and information briefings (online/offline) to explain program offerings and admissions steps.
- Coordinate with internal teams (academics, finance, IT, and administration) to resolve application issues and ensure timely processing.
- Maintain and update applicant records in CRM/admissions systems; ensure data accuracy and confidentiality.
- Support admissions events such as open houses, webinars, campus visits, and outreach initiatives.
- Respond to escalations and ensure high-quality resolution within defined turnaround times.
- Prepare daily/weekly reports on inquiry volumes, conversion metrics, and applicant pipeline status.
- Ensure communication templates and applicant guidance content remain current and compliant with institutional policies.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred (Education, Management, Communications, or related fields).
- 1–4 years of experience in admissions counseling, education services, student support, or customer success (freshers with strong communication skills may be considered).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to explain processes clearly and empathetically.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple applicants simultaneously.
- Comfortable working with CRMs, spreadsheets, and online application portals.
- Problem-solving mindset with a customer-first approach.
- Ability to work during peak admissions cycles, including occasional weekends or extended hours as needed.
- High integrity and discretion when handling personal and academic applicant information.
