Position: Anganwadi Worker / Mini Anganwadi Worker / Anganwadi Helper (Sahayika) / Supervisor (as per eligibility & vacancy mapping)
Location: Uttar Pradesh (district-based postings; applicant must be a resident of the district applied for)
Overview: Uttar Pradesh is planning a large-scale recruitment drive to fill approximately 52,000 vacant Anganwadi positions across the state. Selection and posting will be aligned with the candidate’s eligibility and the requirements of the respective district/ICDS unit.

Responsibilities
- Support delivery of community-based nutrition, health, and early childhood care services under ICDS/Anganwadi programs.
- Maintain basic records/registers related to beneficiaries, attendance, and service delivery (as applicable to the role).
- Assist in awareness activities for mothers/guardians on nutrition, hygiene, immunization, and child development.
- Coordinate with local stakeholders (ASHA/ANM, schools, panchayat/community groups) for program activities.
- For supervisory roles: monitor center-level operations, verify records, and support program implementation at the cluster/sector level.
- Perform other duties assigned by the department in line with scheme guidelines and local administrative instructions.
Requirements
- Education: Historically, 10th pass has been considered for certain Anganwadi roles; current discussions indicate the minimum qualification may be 12th pass for this recruitment cycle (subject to official notification).
- Age Limit: Expected 21 to 35 years (age relaxation and reservation rules as per government norms).
- Domicile: Candidate should be a resident of the district for which the application is submitted.
- Preference/Reservation: As per applicable rules; preference may be given to eligible widowed, divorced/separated, and BPL-category women candidates (subject to official criteria).

Compensation & Benefits
