We are seeking qualified and compassionate Medical Officers to provide clinical care and support public health services across Himachal Pradesh. This role involves delivering patient-centered medical services, participating in screening/examination processes as applicable, and contributing to quality improvement and compliance with relevant medical standards.
Responsibilities
- Provide outpatient and/or inpatient medical care, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up.
- Maintain accurate patient records and clinical documentation in accordance with applicable policies and regulations.
- Prescribe medications and recommend diagnostic tests as clinically indicated.
- Coordinate with nursing staff, specialists, and allied health professionals to ensure continuity of care.
- Respond to medical emergencies and participate in duty rosters as assigned.
- Ensure adherence to clinical protocols, infection control practices, and patient safety standards.
- Support health programs, preventive care initiatives, and community health outreach when required.
- Participate in audits, trainings, and departmental meetings to improve service quality.
Requirements
- Educational Qualification: A recognized medical qualification included in the First or Second Schedule or Part II of the Third Schedule to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956.
- Age Limit: Not more than 45 years as on 01-01-2017 (age relaxation: SC/ST/OBC of Himachal Pradesh: 05 years, as applicable).
- Strong clinical judgment, ethical practice, and patient communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-based healthcare environment and handle high-volume clinical settings.
- Willingness to work in Himachal Pradesh and travel/relocate as per service requirements.
Compensation
- Pay Scale: Rs. 15,600–39,100/- plus Rs. 5,400/- grade pay (as per applicable norms).
