Position: Generalist Officer (GO) Scale II / Scale III
Overview: We are seeking experienced banking professionals to join our team as Generalist Officers (Scale II/III). This role is ideal for candidates with strong credit, branch operations, compliance, and customer relationship skills who can support business growth while ensuring adherence to regulatory and internal policies.
Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end branch/office banking operations, ensuring service quality, accuracy, and turnaround times.
- Drive business development across deposits, advances, fee-based products, and cross-sell initiatives.
- Assess and process credit proposals, including appraisal, documentation checks, risk assessment, and monitoring of post-disbursement compliance.
- Ensure compliance with RBI guidelines, KYC/AML norms, internal audit requirements, and operational risk controls.
- Monitor portfolio health, follow up on irregular accounts, and support recovery and NPA management actions.
- Build and maintain relationships with retail, MSME, and corporate customers; identify opportunities and provide suitable banking solutions.
- Support periodic reporting, MIS preparation, and performance reviews as required by leadership.
- Guide and mentor junior staff; contribute to training, process improvements, and customer grievance resolution.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders (credit, operations, legal, compliance, IT) to ensure smooth execution of transactions and initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university (postgraduate qualifications are a plus).
- Relevant experience in banking/financial services, with exposure to branch operations, credit, compliance, or relationship management (experience expectations aligned with Scale II/III roles).
- Strong understanding of banking products, lending processes, documentation, and regulatory compliance (KYC/AML).
- Ability to analyze financial statements, assess borrower risk, and make sound credit recommendations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-first approach.
- Proficiency in MS Office and comfort working with core banking/financial systems.
- High integrity, attention to detail, and ability to work under deadlines in a regulated environment.
