Telecommunication Constable (Police Communications) – Application Correction & Edit Support Specialist

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Telecommunication Constable (Police Communications) – Application Correction & Edit Support Specialist to support candidates and internal teams during the application correction/edit window for a large-scale constable telecommunication recruitment process. This role focuses on verifying candidate data, guiding applicants through correction workflows, ensuring documentation completeness, and maintaining accurate records in compliance with recruitment policies.

This is an operations-focused role that requires strong attention to detail, clear communication, and the ability to work under strict deadlines.


Key Responsibilities

  • Assist applicants with correction/edit requests for recruitment application forms (e.g., personal details, category details, education, photo/signature uploads, and other editable fields as per policy).
  • Validate submitted corrections against acceptable proof documents and recruitment rules.
  • Coordinate with the technical team to log, track, and resolve application portal issues affecting corrections/edits.
  • Maintain accurate case notes and audit trails for each correction request, including timestamps, action taken, and supporting documentation.
  • Perform quality checks to identify inconsistencies (e.g., name mismatches, category/eligibility conflicts, invalid document formats, duplicate applications).
  • Support fee-related guidance for correction/edit processes where applicable (e.g., payment verification steps, challan/online payment troubleshooting).
  • Ensure adherence to confidentiality and data protection practices while handling candidate information.
  • Prepare daily status reports on volume handled, pending cases, escalations, and resolution timelines.
  • Collaborate with recruitment stakeholders to ensure correction windows and communications are executed smoothly.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in any discipline (preferred) or equivalent relevant experience in recruitment operations, public sector exam support, or customer support.
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret and apply recruitment rules/eligibility criteria and correction/edit guidelines.
  • Strong attention to detail with high accuracy in data validation and documentation review.
  • Comfortable working with online application portals, ticketing systems, spreadsheets, and document management tools.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (Hindi and/or English preferred, depending on candidate-facing needs).
  • Ability to manage high-volume workloads during time-bound correction windows.
  • Professional integrity and ability to handle sensitive personal data securely.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience supporting government recruitment/examination processes (admit cards, form fill-up, correction windows, document verification).
  • Experience with call center/helpdesk operations, grievance handling, or candidate support.
  • Familiarity with common document standards (photo/signature specs, certificate verification basics, category certificates).
