Position: Forest Guard (Himachal Pradesh Forest Department)
We are seeking motivated and disciplined candidates for the role of Forest Guard. This position supports forest protection, wildlife conservation, and field-based enforcement activities. Responsibilities
- Patrol assigned forest beats/areas to help prevent illegal activities such as poaching, illicit felling, encroachment, and forest fires.
- Assist in forest protection operations, including reporting incidents and supporting enforcement actions as per departmental procedures.
- Support wildlife conservation initiatives and help monitor habitat conditions and human-wildlife interaction risks.
- Participate in forest fire prevention and response activities, including early reporting, first-response support, and awareness drives.
- Assist in plantation, nursery, and afforestation activities, including maintenance of plantations and related field records.
- Maintain basic field registers/logs, submit reports to senior officials, and follow instructions issued by Range/Beat officers.
- Engage with local communities for awareness on conservation, forest rules, and fire prevention (as directed).
- Perform other duties assigned by the department consistent with the nature of the role.

- Ability to work in outdoor and rugged terrain conditions and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Basic communication skills and willingness to follow chain-of-command and departmental protocols.

- Comfort with shift/field duty, including early mornings, evenings, and emergency deployments (e.g., fire season).
