This opportunity is ideal for candidates who have completed Matriculation (10th) with ITI in a relevant trade and are looking to start a structured, hands-on apprenticeship in the Indian Railways ecosystem.

Selection Overview: Selection is based on a merit list prepared from qualifying marks, followed by document verification and medical examination as per applicable rules.

Responsibilities

• Participate in on-the-job training under the supervision of Railway/Workshop/Depot staff as per the assigned trade.
• Assist in routine maintenance, repair, fabrication, inspection, and operational support tasks relevant to the trade.
• Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs), safety protocols, and quality practices applicable to Railway environments.
• Maintain training logs/records and complete assigned modules within stipulated timelines.
• Support the team in housekeeping, tool handling, and safe material usage as required.
• Comply with attendance, discipline, and conduct requirements during the apprenticeship period.

Requirements

• Education: Matriculation (10th) or equivalent with minimum 50% aggregate marks.
• Technical Qualification: ITI certificate in relevant trade from an NCVT/SCVT recognized institution.
• Age Limit (as on 25 Mar 2025): Minimum 15 years and Maximum 24 years (age relaxation as per RRC SECR/Indian Railways rules).
• Ability to work in a structured industrial setting with adherence to safety and compliance norms.
• Willingness to undergo document verification and medical examination as per Railway standards.

Selection Process

1. Merit List: Prepared on the basis of marks as per notification rules.
2. Document Verification (DV): Candidates shortlisted in merit list are called for DV.
3. Medical Examination: Final engagement subject to medical fitness and other formalities.
