Position: Child Development Project Officer (CDPO)
We are seeking a dedicated and service-oriented Child Development Project Officer (CDPO) to support the planning, coordination, and monitoring of child development and women welfare initiatives at the project/block level. This role involves field implementation, stakeholder coordination, documentation, and ensuring effective delivery of government-supported nutrition, early childhood care, and community development programs.
Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and supervise child development and women welfare activities at the project level.
- Monitor implementation of nutrition, health, early childhood education, and community outreach initiatives.
- Conduct field visits to review service delivery, verify records, and assess program quality.
- Coordinate with local administration, health departments, education stakeholders, and community bodies to ensure integrated service delivery.
- Maintain accurate program documentation, reports, and compliance records as per departmental guidelines.
- Support capacity building and guidance for field functionaries and community workers.
- Identify gaps, recommend corrective actions, and ensure timely resolution of operational issues.
- Promote community awareness and participation in child welfare, maternal health, and social development programs.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in any stream from a recognized university in India.
- Experience: Prior experience in public programs, community development, social sector implementation, or administration is preferred (role may be open to freshers depending on hiring norms).
- Skills:
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work in the field and manage multiple locations/centers.
- Report writing, documentation, and basic data handling skills.
- Problem-solving mindset with attention to compliance and quality.
