Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute scientific investigations in relevant domains (geology, geophysics, hydrogeology, geochemistry/chemistry) as assigned.
  • Conduct field surveys, sampling, logging, and site assessments; ensure adherence to safety and operational protocols.
  • Perform laboratory and analytical work (as applicable), including quality checks and documentation of results.
  • Interpret datasets and prepare technical notes, maps, charts, and scientific reports for stakeholders.
  • Support project planning, monitoring, and coordination with multidisciplinary teams and government counterparts.
  • Maintain accurate records, comply with reporting standards, and contribute to continuous improvement of methods and workflows.

Requirements

Age Limit (as on 01 January 2025)

  • Minimum: 21 years
  • Maximum: 32 years

Educational Qualifications (Discipline-wise)

  • Geologist (Group A): Master’s degree (passed/appearing) in Geological Science/Geology/Applied Geology/Geo-Exploration/Mineral Exploration/Engineering Geology/Marine Geology/Earth Science or equivalent.
  • Geophysicist (Group A): Master’s degree (passed/appearing) in Physics/Applied Physics/Geophysics/Marine Geophysics or equivalent.
  • Chemist (Group A): M.Sc. (passed/appearing) in Chemistry/Applied Chemistry/Analytical Chemistry or equivalent from a recognized university.
  • Scientist B (Hydrogeology) (Group A): Master’s degree (passed/appearing, final year) in Geology/Applied Geology/Marine Geology or equivalent.
  • Scientist B (Chemical) (Group A): Master’s degree (passed/appearing, final year) in Geology/Applied Geology/Marine Geology or equivalent.
  • Scientist B (Geophysics) (Group A): Master’s degree (passed/appearing, final year) in Geology/Applied Geology/Marine Geology or equivalent.
  • Assistant Hydrogeologist (Group B): Master’s degree in Geology/Applied Geology/Marine Geology/Hydrogeology from a recognized university.
  • Assistant Chemist (Group B): M.Sc./Integrated M.Sc. in Chemistry or related specializations (e.g., Applied/Analytical/Physical/Inorganic/Organic/Hydro-Chemistry/Industrial Chemistry) from a recognized university/institute.
  • Assistant Geophysicist (Group B): As per the provided notice: Master’s degree/Integrated Master’s degree in Chemistry or related specializations from a recognized university/institute.
