Responsibilities

  • Support maritime safety and security operations as per Coast Guard protocols.
  • Perform watch-keeping duties and assist in navigation, seamanship, and operational readiness (Navik GD).
  • Handle catering, housekeeping, and related onboard support services (Navik DB).
  • Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot ship/aircraft equipment and systems aligned to the trade (Yantrik).
  • Participate in training, drills, and emergency response procedures.
  • Maintain discipline, fitness standards, and accurate documentation as required.

Requirements

Educational Qualification

  • Navik (General Duty): 10+2 (Intermediate) with Maths and Physics from a board recognized by COBSE.
  • Navik (Domestic Branch): Class 10th pass from a board recognized by COBSE.
  • Yantrik (Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics):
    • Class 10th pass from a board recognized by COBSE, and
    • Diploma in relevant engineering (duration 3 or 4 years).

Age Limit (as per recruitment rules)

  • Minimum Age: 18 years
  • Maximum Age: 22 years
  • Navik GD/DB: Born between 01 Aug 2004 and 01 Aug 2008
  • Yantrik: Born between 01 Mar 2004 and 01 Mar 2008
