Position: Apprentice (Banking)
We are inviting applications for the JK Bank Apprentice position. This apprenticeship is designed for motivated graduates who want to build a strong foundation in retail banking operations, customer service, compliance, and day-to-day branch support. The role provides structured, on-the-job learning under experienced banking professionals and exposure to core banking processes.
Responsibilities
- Support branch teams in day-to-day banking operations, including account services, customer onboarding support, and service requests.
- Assist customers with basic banking queries and guide them on products, digital channels, and self-service options.
- Help maintain accurate records and documentation as per internal policies and regulatory requirements.
- Support cash, clearing, and back-office activities under supervision (as applicable).
- Participate in training sessions and complete assigned learning modules within required timelines.
- Assist in data entry, report preparation, and reconciliation tasks using core banking/office tools.
- Adhere to information security, customer confidentiality, and compliance guidelines.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely resolution of customer requests and operational tasks.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university/institution (or equivalent qualification as per program guidelines).
- Basic understanding of banking services and willingness to learn branch operations and customer handling.
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written) and a customer-first mindset.
- Comfort with computers and common office applications; ability to learn banking systems quickly.
- High attention to detail and ability to follow processes and compliance requirements.
- Professional integrity and ability to handle confidential information responsibly.
- Availability to work at assigned location(s) and attend mandatory training.
