We are seeking a detail-oriented DTE Maharashtra Admission Coordinator to support end-to-end admissions operations for Maharashtra state technical education programs. This role focuses on coordinating application workflows, documentation checks, candidate communications, schedule management, and compliance with published admission timelines and guidelines. The ideal candidate is organized, service-minded, and comfortable working with high volumes of applicant data and time-sensitive deadlines.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate the admissions cycle, including application intake, document verification tracking, and status updates.
- Maintain accurate applicant records in internal systems; ensure data quality, completeness, and timely updates.
- Assist in publishing and communicating key dates, instructions, and procedural updates to applicants and stakeholders.
- Support preparation of merit lists, seat allocation documentation, and related administrative reports (as per defined processes).
- Respond to applicant queries via email/phone and provide clear guidance on eligibility, documentation, and next steps.
- Coordinate with academic departments, verification teams, and IT/support teams to resolve application issues.
- Ensure adherence to applicable policies, confidentiality standards, and record-retention requirements.
- Help organize admission-related events such as helpdesks, counseling schedules, and orientation logistics.
- Track escalations and exceptions; document resolutions and propose process improvements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Administration, Education, Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 1–3 years of experience in admissions, education administration, customer support, or operations coordination.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks under strict deadlines.
- Proficiency with spreadsheets and documentation tools (e.g., Excel/Google Sheets, Word/Docs).
- Comfort working with online portals, PDFs, and large datasets; ability to validate documents against checklists.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills; ability to explain processes to applicants patiently and accurately.
- Professional integrity and discretion when handling sensitive personal information.
- Preferred: familiarity with Indian higher-education admissions processes, counseling rounds, or seat allocation workflows.
