Andhra Pradesh Eastern Power Distribution Company Limited (APEPDCL) is hiring Junior Lineman Grade-II / Energy Assistants to support power distribution operations across Village & Ward Secretariats in Andhra Pradesh districts. This role is field-focused and suited for candidates with foundational electrical training and a strong commitment to safety and service reliability.
Responsibilities
- Assist in operation and maintenance of distribution lines and related electrical infrastructure.
- Support fault identification, basic troubleshooting, and restoration activities under supervision.
- Carry out routine field work related to line maintenance, service connections, and support tasks as assigned.
- Follow safety procedures, use protective equipment, and comply with applicable electrical safety standards.
- Coordinate with assigned teams/section staff to ensure timely completion of field activities.
- Maintain basic work records as required by the department/secretariat operations.
Requirements
- Eligibility: Male applicants only; must be a resident of Andhra Pradesh / have Andhra Pradesh domicile (with Indian domicile).
- Age limit (as on 01/July/2019): 18 to 35 years (upper age relaxation: SC/ST – 5 years).
- Education:
- SSC / Class 10th pass and ITI certification in Electrical/Wireman trade; or
- Intermediate Vocational Course in Electrical Domestic Appliances and Rewinding (EDAR) & Electrical Wiring & Contracting (EWC) (on par with Electrical Wiring & Servicing of Electrical Appliances).
- Ability to work in field conditions and follow instructions from supervisors/line staff.
- Commitment to safety, punctuality, and public-service standards.

- Pay scale: Rs. 15,000/- per month (Consolidated pay for 02 years).
