Senior Teacher II (Sanskrit Education)

We are seeking a dedicated Senior Teacher II (Sanskrit Education) to deliver high-quality Sanskrit instruction, support student achievement, and contribute to a positive academic culture. This role is ideal for an educator who combines strong subject expertise with effective classroom management and a student-centric approach to teaching and assessment.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging Sanskrit lessons aligned with prescribed curriculum, learning outcomes, and academic standards.
  • Create unit plans, lesson plans, worksheets, and instructional materials that support diverse learning needs.
  • Assess student learning through tests, assignments, oral/practical evaluations (as applicable), and continuous assessment methods.
  • Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, assessment data, and student progress; prepare reports as required.
  • Provide academic support to students through remedial instruction, doubt-clearing sessions, and enrichment activities.
  • Promote classroom discipline, inclusive practices, and a safe learning environment.
  • Participate in school/department meetings, academic planning, examinations, invigilation, and result processing activities.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to improve instructional quality and share best practices.
  • Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding student progress and academic concerns.
  • Support co-curricular and cultural activities related to language learning, literature, and heritage.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Sanskrit or a closely related discipline; higher qualifications are an advantage.
  • Recognized teacher training qualification (e.g., B.Ed. or equivalent) as per applicable norms for Senior Teacher roles.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Sanskrit language, grammar, literature, and pedagogy appropriate for secondary/senior secondary levels.
  • Experience teaching Sanskrit in a school setting is preferred; strong fresh candidates may be considered based on competence.
  • Knowledge of assessment design, question paper preparation, evaluation practices, and academic documentation.
  • Comfort with basic digital tools for teaching/learning (presentations, online resources, student information systems).
  • Strong communication skills, professionalism, and the ability to work collaboratively.
  • Willingness to follow institutional policies, academic calendars, and examination protocols.
