Position Overview
We are seeking an Admissions & Enrollment Coordinator to support end-to-end student admissions for undergraduate and postgraduate programs at a specialized Physical Education & Sports University. This role is responsible for coordinating admission form distribution and submissions, verifying documents, supporting applicants through the process, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring timelines and compliance requirements are met.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, service-focused, comfortable working with online portals and documentation, and able to coordinate with multiple departments to ensure a smooth applicant experience.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a primary point of contact for prospective students, responding to inquiries via phone, email, and in-person support.
- Coordinate the admissions cycle: application intake, preliminary screening, document verification, and status updates.
- Guide applicants on program eligibility, required documents, fee payment steps, and submission deadlines.
- Maintain and update applicant records in admissions systems/portals; ensure data accuracy and completeness.
- Support publication and communication of important dates, instructions, and notices related to admissions.
- Assist in compiling applicant lists, shortlists, and reports for internal review and decision-making.
- Coordinate with academic departments and administrative offices for eligibility checks and special requirements (e.g., sports quotas, medical/fitness documentation where applicable).
- Ensure adherence to university policies and applicable regulatory guidelines for admissions and record retention.
- Support admission-related events such as counseling days, information sessions, and orientation.
- Handle confidential information responsibly and maintain high standards of integrity and professionalism.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline (Master’s degree is a plus).
- 1–3 years of experience in admissions, education administration, student services, or a similar coordination role (freshers with strong administrative skills may be considered).
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
- Proficiency in MS Office/Google Workspace (Excel/Sheets, Word/Docs, email tools); comfort using online application portals.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to explain processes clearly and patiently.
- Basic understanding of document verification practices and record management.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and handle peak-season workloads.
- Professional conduct, discretion, and commitment to confidentiality.
