Overview
All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Gorakhpur has released an official notification for the recruitment of Operation Theatre Assistant (OTA) on a regular basis. A total of 10 vacancies are to be filled through this drive. Eligible candidates must apply online before the last date of 30 November 2025. The selected candidates will be placed in Pay Level 5 under the 7th Central Pay Commission.
Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
Candidates must have passed 12th class from a recognised board and possess at least 5 years of work experience in Operation Theatre (O.T.), Intensive Care Unit (ICU), Central Sterile Supply Department (CSSD), or Manifold Room.
Age Limit
- General: 18 to 30 years
- OBC: 18 to 33 years
- EWS: 18 to 30 years
- SC/ST: 18 to 35 years
- PwBD: 18 to 40 years
Application Fee
The fee must be paid online through debit card, credit card, or net banking. No other mode of payment is accepted. Fee structure is as follows:
- General / OBC: ₹1770 (₹1500 + GST)
- SC / ST / EWS: ₹1416 (₹1200 + GST)
- Persons with Disabilities (PwBD): Exempted

Selection Process
- Online Computer Based Test (CBT):The CBT will be of 100 marks with objective type questions. Duration is 2 hours. There is a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each incorrect answer. Qualifying marks are: UR/EWS – 40%, OBC – 35%, SC/ST/PwBD – 30%.
- Document Verification:Candidates shortlisted based on CBT merit will be called for verification of original documents.
