The Intelligence Bureau (IB) under the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has announced a recruitment for the post of Deputy Director (Disaster Management) on deputation basis. This is a senior-level position for experienced professionals in disaster management and statistical analysis.

Overview

A total of 4 vacancies are available for this post. The selected candidate will be placed in New Delhi and will handle disaster-related data compilation, analysis, and presentation. The pay scale is Rs. 67,700 – 2,08,700 (Level 12 of 7th CPC).

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

Applicants must possess a Master’s degree such as MA, M.Sc, or Master of Education (M.Ed) from a recognized university or equivalent.

Experience

A minimum of five years of experience in compilation, presentation, and analysis of statistical data in a government office, public sector undertaking, autonomous organization, university, or statutory body is required.

Age Limit

The maximum age limit for deputation is 56 years as on the closing date of application. No upper age relaxation is applicable for deputation posts.

Application Process

Interested candidates must prepare their application along with self-attested copies of all relevant certificates and complete and up-to-date APARs/ACRs of the last five years. The application should be sent to the Ministry of Home Affairs, North Block, New Delhi within 60 days from the date of publication of the notification. There is no online application facility for this post.

Selection Procedure

Selection will be based on the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and overall suitability. The competent authority may also conduct an interview to assess the candidate’s expertise in disaster management and statistical analysis. The decision of the IB and MHA will be final.

• The post is purely on deputation basis and not a direct recruitment.
• Only officers from central/state governments, PSUs, autonomous bodies, universities, and statutory organizations are eligible.
• No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview (if any).
