The Indian Institute of Technology (Banaras Hindu University) Varanasi, known as IIT BHU, has announced a recruitment drive for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF). This is an excellent opportunity for engineering graduates who have cleared GATE or NET and are interested in research in chemical engineering and catalysis.

Only one JRF vacancy is available under this notification. The selected candidate will work on a research project at the Department of Chemical Engineering and Technology, IIT BHU.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

Candidates must possess a B.E/B.Tech degree in Chemical Engineering or a related branch. A valid GATE or NET score is compulsory. Preference will be given to applicants with a background in Chemical Engineering or Catalysis.

Age Limit

The maximum age for applying is 40 years as on the date of closure of applications. Age relaxation may be applicable as per government norms for reserved categories, though no specific relaxation has been mentioned in the notification.

Salary

The selected JRF will receive a monthly emolument of Rs. 37,000 as per the institute norms.

Selection Process

The selection will be based on the candidate's academic record, GATE/NET score, and performance in the interview. Only shortlisted candidates will be called for the interview.
