National Institute of Technology Rourkela (NIT Rourkela) has announced a recruitment drive for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) under a research project. This is a temporary contract position for 3 years, and the selected candidate will work on a project in the relevant specialization. The fellowship amount is ₹42,000 per month.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must hold an ME/M.Tech/MS degree in a relevant discipline with a valid GATE score or CSIR/UGC/ICMR/DBT NET (Lectureship/JRF) qualification. The maximum age limit is 28 years. Relaxations may be applicable as per government rules.

Selection Process

Selection will be based on shortlisting of applications followed by an online interview. Only shortlisted candidates will be called for the interview. The final selection will be based on interview performance and document verification.

The engagement is purely temporary and co-terminus with the project. It does not entitle the candidate to any permanent position at NIT Rourkela. The institute reserves the right to reject any application without assigning any reason.
