The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) has released a recruitment notification for the post of Assistant Professor. A total of 1253 vacancies are to be filled across various disciplines in state universities and colleges of Uttar Pradesh. Eligible candidates can apply online before the last date.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must possess a Master of Commerce (M.Com) degree from a recognized university. Additionally, they must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by UGC/CSIR or similar tests like SLET/SET. Those who have been awarded a Ph.D. degree are exempted from NET, provided they registered for the Ph.D. program prior to July 11, 2009.

Age Limit

The age of the candidate must be between 21 and 40 years as on the closing date of application. Age relaxation is applicable as per government rules for OBC, SC, ST, EWS, and PwBD categories.

Salary

The selected candidates will receive a monthly salary in the pay scale of Rs. 57,700 to Rs. 1,82,400 as per the UPPSC norms.

Selection Process

The selection will be based on the candidate's academic record, research experience, and performance in the interview. Shortlisted candidates will be called for document verification and personal interview.
