Prasar Bharati, the public service broadcaster of India, has announced a recruitment drive for the post of News Reader cum Translator. The engagement is purely on a casual basis as per the requirement of the organization. Interested and eligible candidates are invited to apply before the deadline.

Post Details

The vacancy is for one position of News Reader cum Translator. The selected candidate will be responsible for reading news and translating content in multiple languages. Proficiency in Marathi, English, and Hindi is desirable.

Educational Qualification

Candidates must possess a Bachelor of Arts (BA / BA Hons) degree or a Diploma in a relevant field from a recognised institution. Preference will be given to those with journalism specialization.

Age Limit

Applicants should be between 21 and 50 years of age. Age relaxation for reserved categories will be as per government norms.

Application Fee

A non-refundable application processing fee of Rs. 354 is required to be paid. Mode of payment is mentioned in the official notification.

Selection Process

Selection will be conducted in two stages – a written test to assess language proficiency and general knowledge, followed by a personal interview. Final selection will be based on combined performance.

How to Apply

Candidates need to send their complete application form along with self-attested copies of documents and the fee receipt via Speed Post or Registered Post. The application must reach the prescribed address on or before 31 July 2025. No other mode of application will be accepted.
