The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) has invited applications for the engagement of apprentices under the Apprentices Act, 1961. The available positions are Diploma (Technician Apprentice) and Commercial Practice Apprentice. A total of 55 vacancies are to be filled across various disciplines.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must possess a Diploma in Engineering/Technology or a Diploma in Commercial Practice from a recognized board. Only those candidates who have passed the qualifying examination within the last three years are eligible. Additionally, applicants must belong to the Southern Region of the Board of Apprenticeship Training, which includes Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and Puducherry.

Stipend and Training Duration

Selected apprentices will receive a monthly stipend of Rs. 8,000. The training period is 12 months, starting from the execution of the apprenticeship contract. Apprentices are required to submit a medical fitness certificate at the time of joining.

Application Process

Interested candidates must first register on the NATS portal (www.mhrdnats.gov.in) to obtain an enrolment number. After registration, they need to log in to the UMANG portal (https://web.umang.gov.in/landing/) and apply for the ISRO apprenticeship positions. The last date for application is 11 September 2025.

Selection Procedure

Selection will be based on the marks secured in the qualifying diploma examination. Shortlisted candidates will be called for document verification and a medical fitness test. No written exam or interview is mentioned.
