The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) has announced the engagement of Graduate Apprentices (Engineering) for a 12-month training period. This is a wonderful opportunity for engineering graduates from the Southern Region to gain hands-on experience in one of India's premier space research organizations.

Overview

ISRO seeks to fill 9 positions for Graduate Apprentice (Engineering) across various specializations: Civil, Computer Science, Electrical and Electronics, Electronics & Communication, and Mechanical Engineering. The apprenticeship is governed by the Apprentices Act, 1961, and offers a monthly stipend of Rs. 9,000.

Eligibility Criteria

• Educational Qualification:Candidates must possess a B.E/B.Tech degree in the relevant engineering discipline from a recognized university or technical board.
• Regional Restriction:Only those who have acquired their degree from institutions under the Southern Region of the Board of Apprenticeship Training (BoAT) are eligible. The region includes Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and Puducherry.
• Time Limit:Candidates who have completed three years after obtaining the prescribed qualification are not eligible.

Stipend and Benefits

Selected apprentices will receive a monthly stipend of Rs. 9,000. The training is for one year, and upon successful completion, apprentices will gain valuable experience in ISRO's work environment.

Selection Process

The selection will be based on merit as per the norms of the Board of Apprenticeship Training. Candidates must first register on the NATS portal (www.mhrdnats.gov.in) and then apply through the UMANG portal. There is no written exam or interview; shortlisting will be done based on academic performance.

Interested and eligible candidates must follow these steps:

1. Register on the NATS portal at www.mhrdnats.gov.in. Ensure your profile is complete and accurate.
2. After generating the enrollment number, log in to the UMANG portal at https://web.umang.gov.in/landing/ and search for the ISRO Graduate Apprentice opportunity.
3. Fill in the required details and upload scanned copies of your degree certificate, mark sheets, and other relevant documents.
4. Submit the application before the last date: 11th September 2025.
