The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) has announced a recruitment drive for the engagement of Young Professionals (YPs) on a contract basis. This is a great opportunity for engineering graduates with at least two years of professional experience to contribute to India's national standards body.

Number of Vacancies

There are a total of 5 Young Professional positions available across various divisions of BIS.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

Candidates must have a B.E or B.Tech degree in a relevant discipline from a recognized university or institute.

Age Limit

The maximum age limit is 35 years as on the closing date of application. Age relaxation may be applicable as per government norms for reserved categories, but no specific relaxation is mentioned in the notification.

Experience

A minimum of two years of relevant work experience is required after obtaining the qualifying degree.

Salary / Remuneration

Selected Young Professionals will receive a consolidated monthly honorarium of Rs. 70,000.

Tenure of Engagement

The contract is for a period of two years from the date of joining. There is no provision for regularization or absorption into regular BIS posts.

Selection Process

• Shortlisting:Applications will be screened based on the candidate's qualifications, experience, and other details provided.
• Interview:Shortlisted candidates may be called for an interview. The final selection will be based on overall performance.
