The Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Sciences (CCRAS) has announced a recruitment drive for the post of Translator (Hindi Assistant). CCRAS is looking for qualified individuals who can handle Hindi translation work for official documents, research papers, and administrative correspondence. The selected candidates will be posted anywhere in India. The posts are temporary but likely to continue on a long-term basis. Below are the key details about this recruitment.

Eligibility Criteria

To apply for the Translator (Hindi Assistant) post, candidates must possess a Master’s degree (MA/M.Sc/M.Phil) in Hindi from a recognized university. Additionally, they must have either a Diploma or Certificate course in translation from Hindi to English and vice versa, OR at least two years of experience in translation work in a Central or State Government office, including Government of India Undertakings. Candidates without the required translation qualification or experience will not be considered.

The age limit for general category candidates is between 18 and 30 years. Age relaxation is applicable as per government norms for OBC, SC, ST, EWS, and PwBD candidates.

Important Dates

The application process is already underway. The last date to submit the online application is 31 August 2025. Candidates are advised to apply well before the deadline to avoid any last-minute technical issues.

Salary and Benefits

The selected candidates will be placed in Pay Level-6, which ranges from Rs. 9,300 to Rs. 34,800 per month. Additional allowances such as DA, HRA, and medical benefits will be provided as per government rules.

Selection Process

The selection will be done in three stages:

• Stage 1:Screening of applications based on qualifications and experience.
• Stage 2:Written test to evaluate translation skills, language proficiency, and general knowledge.
• Stage 3:Interview of shortlisted candidates.

The final merit list will be prepared based on the performance in the written test and interview.
