Indian Institute of Technology (Indian School of Mines) Dhanbad, a premier institute of national importance, has invited applications for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in the Department of Chemistry. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with a strong academic background in chemistry or allied disciplines and who have qualified GATE or NET.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must possess an M.Sc. in Chemistry or a related discipline, or an M.Tech in a relevant field. Additionally, they must have qualified GATE or NET. Final year M.Sc. and M.Tech students are also eligible to apply, provided they complete their degree before the joining date. The age limit for the general category is 28 years.

Job Details

There is one vacancy for the JRF position. The tenure is for three years. The selected candidate will receive a monthly fellowship of Rs. 37,000. The job location is at the IIT (ISM) Dhanbad campus in Jharkhand.

Selection Process

The selection will be done in two stages. First, candidates will be shortlisted based on their GATE/NET score and academic record. Shortlisted candidates will then be called for an online interview, which is tentatively scheduled for 26th July 2025.
