Role Overview
As an Administrative Officer (Scale I), you will support and manage key operational and administrative functions. Depending on the stream, you may work in general insurance operations (Generalist) or in specialized functions (Specialist) aligned to your academic background and organizational needs.
Responsibilities
- Support day-to-day insurance operations including policy issuance, servicing, renewals, and endorsements.
- Assist in underwriting activities such as risk assessment, pricing support, and documentation review (as applicable).
- Handle claims-related activities including initial scrutiny, coordination for survey/assessment, and processing support.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory guidelines, and audit requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve service delivery and operational efficiency.
- Maintain accurate records, prepare reports, and contribute to MIS and performance tracking.
- Participate in customer service and grievance handling to ensure timely resolution and positive experience.
- Support branch/office administration tasks as assigned, including coordination and process adherence.
- For Specialist roles: perform duties aligned to the specialist discipline as per organizational requirements.
Requirements
- Education: Graduate degree in a relevant discipline from a recognized university in India (stream-specific requirements may apply for Specialist roles).
- Age Limit (as per referenced recruitment cycle): 21 to 30 years (age relaxations applicable as per rules).
- Strong communication skills and professional business writing ability.
- Comfortable with documentation, process-driven work, and basic data analysis/reporting.
- Working knowledge of MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is preferred.
- Integrity, attention to detail, and ability to work in a regulated environment.
- Ability to work collaboratively in teams and adapt to changing priorities.
