Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Admissions Coordinator to support end-to-end application and admission-form operations for a premier higher-education admissions workflow. This role focuses on guiding applicants, validating documentation, coordinating timelines, and ensuring accurate data entry and communication across stakeholders. The ideal candidate is process-driven, comfortable with portals and forms, and capable of maintaining high accuracy under deadlines.
Responsibilities
- Support applicants through the admission form lifecycle, including account setup, form completion guidance, and submission checks.
- Verify application data for completeness and accuracy (personal details, academic records, category information, and supporting uploads).
- Coordinate document requirements and ensure adherence to eligibility criteria and submission timelines.
- Manage applicant queries via email/phone/chat, providing clear instructions and escalation when needed.
- Maintain and update applicant records in internal systems/CRM, ensuring data integrity and audit readiness.
- Assist in publishing and updating admission-related information such as important dates, instructions, and FAQs.
- Generate reports on application status, pending items, and resolution turnaround times for internal review.
- Support coordination of downstream steps such as admit card communication, exam updates, and document verification scheduling (where applicable).
- Ensure compliance with confidentiality and data-protection practices when handling applicant information.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (IT/portal support, academic offices, and communications) to resolve portal issues and improve applicant experience.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline (Education Administration, Business Administration, or related fields preferred).
- 1–3 years of experience in admissions support, student services, operations, or a form-driven administrative role.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow structured processes and checklists.
- Proficiency with web portals, online forms, spreadsheets (Excel/Google Sheets), and document handling (PDF tools).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to explain steps clearly to applicants.
- Ability to manage multiple applications/tasks simultaneously and meet strict deadlines.
- Comfortable working with sensitive personal data and maintaining confidentiality.
- Preferred: Experience supporting exam/admissions workflows, document verification, or helpdesk/ticketing systems.
