We are seeking an organized, service-oriented Admissions Coordinator to support the end-to-end admissions process for National Law Institute University (NLIU). This role plays a key part in ensuring accurate application processing, timely candidate communication, admissions event execution, and coordination with internal stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the admissions lifecycle: inquiry handling, application intake, document verification, shortlisting support, offer/selection communications, and enrollment steps.
  • Maintain accurate applicant records in admissions systems and spreadsheets; ensure data integrity and confidentiality.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for applicants and parents via email/phone/helpdesk; provide clear guidance on eligibility, documents, deadlines, and next steps.
  • Support admissions-related notices, schedules, and updates on the university website/portal in coordination with IT/communications teams.
  • Assist with planning and executing admissions events (webinars, campus visits, orientation, counseling sessions) including registrations and attendance tracking.
  • Coordinate with academic departments, examination/selection committees, finance, and hostel administration to ensure smooth onboarding.
  • Prepare routine reports and dashboards (applications received, stage-wise pipeline, conversion metrics, category-wise breakdowns) for leadership review.
  • Ensure compliance with university policies and applicable regulatory requirements related to admissions and record retention.
  • Handle document collection and verification workflows, including follow-ups for missing or inconsistent information.
  • Support audit-ready documentation and maintain organized digital/physical filing systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in any discipline (Master’s degree preferred).
  • 1–4 years of experience in admissions, education administration, student services, or a comparable coordination role.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to explain processes clearly and professionally.
  • Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
  • Proficiency with MS Office/Google Workspace (Excel/Sheets, Docs, email); comfort working with portals/CRMs.
  • Ability to handle sensitive data with discretion and maintain confidentiality.
  • Customer-service mindset with patience and professionalism during high-volume periods.
  • Willingness to work extended hours during peak admissions timelines when necessary.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a university environment, especially professional programs (law, management, public policy).
  • Familiarity with online application systems, document verification workflows, and basic data reporting.
  • Knowledge of admissions communications, FAQs, and process documentation.
