Position: Admissions Counselor (NPTI Programs)
We are seeking an Admissions Counselor to support end-to-end admissions for technical and professional programs, with a focus on NPTI (National Power Training Institute) admissions and related education pathways. You will guide applicants through eligibility, documentation, deadlines, and application steps while ensuring a high-quality candidate experience and accurate recordkeeping.
Responsibilities
- Provide accurate guidance to prospective applicants on NPTI admissions, program options, eligibility criteria, and key dates.
- Respond to inquiries via phone, email, chat, and walk-ins; maintain professional and timely communication.
- Assist candidates with application submission, corrections, document uploads, and troubleshooting common portal issues.
- Verify and validate applicant documentation (ID proof, academic records, photographs, signatures) for completeness and compliance.
- Maintain and update applicant records in CRM/ERP systems; ensure data accuracy and confidentiality.
- Coordinate with internal teams (academics, finance, IT, compliance) to resolve applicant issues and streamline the admissions workflow.
- Support admission events such as webinars, counseling sessions, outreach drives, and campus visits.
- Track application funnel metrics (leads, conversions, pending documents) and prepare periodic reports.
- Ensure adherence to institutional policies, regulatory requirements, and published admission guidelines.
- Contribute to continuous improvement by documenting common queries and creating FAQs/process notes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline (Education, Administration, Communications, or related fields preferred).
- 1–3 years of experience in admissions, academic counseling, student services, or customer support (experience with technical education admissions is a plus).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to explain processes clearly and patiently.
- Comfortable working with online application portals, spreadsheets, and CRM tools.
- High attention to detail for document verification and data entry.
- Ability to manage multiple applications and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Professional ethics and discretion when handling sensitive personal information.
- Basic understanding of admission workflows, eligibility checks, and documentation standards.
