Key Responsibilities
- Provide patient-centered medical care, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up.
- Perform clinical duties in outpatient, inpatient, emergency, and/or field environments as assigned.
- Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation in line with applicable protocols and standards.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure continuity and quality of care.
- Participate in preventive health initiatives, health education, and medical readiness activities.
- Support medical administration duties as required, including reporting and compliance activities.
- Adhere to clinical governance, patient safety, infection control, and ethical standards.
- Engage in ongoing training, drills, and professional development programs as mandated.
Requirements
- MBBS (or equivalent recognized medical qualification) from an accredited institution.
- Valid medical registration with the appropriate medical council/authority.
- Ability to meet service medical fitness standards and other eligibility criteria as per official AFMS/defence recruitment guidelines.
- Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and a commitment to patient care.
- Willingness to work in varied locations and operational environments, including transfers as per service requirements.
- Preferred: Postgraduate qualification and/or relevant clinical experience (where applicable to the SSC entry scheme and notified criteria).
