Position: Agriculture Supervisor

We are seeking an Agriculture Supervisor to support field-level agricultural programs, guide best practices in crop production, and help improve farm productivity through monitoring, training, and coordination. This role involves regular field visits, farmer engagement, data collection, and collaboration with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure effective delivery of agriculture-related initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and support agricultural activities across assigned areas, including crop planning, cultivation practices, and input utilization.
  • Conduct field visits to monitor crop conditions, identify pest/disease issues, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Provide guidance and basic training to farmers and field staff on improved agronomic practices and sustainable farming methods.
  • Maintain records of field observations, demonstrations, farmer meetings, and program outcomes; prepare periodic reports.
  • Assist in implementing government/organizational agriculture schemes, extension activities, and awareness programs.
  • Coordinate with local stakeholders (farmers’ groups, cooperatives, vendors, and relevant departments) to ensure smooth execution of field operations.
  • Support soil and water conservation efforts, integrated pest management, and post-harvest handling awareness.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable policies, safety standards, and operational guidelines during fieldwork.

Requirements

  • Education: 10+2 (Intermediate) with Agriculture stream or B.Sc. Agriculture / equivalent degree in a relevant discipline.
  • Working knowledge of crop production practices, basic plant protection, and field-level agricultural operations.
  • Ability to conduct field assessments and communicate recommendations clearly to farmers and stakeholders.
  • Basic computer skills for reporting and record maintenance (MS Office/Google Workspace preferred).
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently in the field.
  • Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned area.
  • Good communication skills in local language(s); Hindi proficiency preferred.
